Sin focuses on the strategic direction of the practice and is responsible for the business development and digitalization initiatives at our firm. He still manages a handful of clients so that he can stay current with general operational challenges. Sin has over 30 years of experience in audit, tax, project finance, and insolvency. He has worked in the USA for 23 years at various international firms, including Big 4 and mid-tier accounting firms and IFC (the private arm of The World Bank) dealing with multinational corporations, venture capital funds, and private equity funds on worldwide projects. Sin is the first U.S. CPA to be licensed in Mauritius. He is also committed to community service and currently sits on the board of several NGOs helping battered women and children with mental disabilities.
Tax Partner
Bobby has over 20 years of tax experience in local and international corporate taxation. He specializes in direct and indirect taxes, tax due diligence, tax assessment reviews, tax health checks, tax dispute cases, and training in taxation. Furthermore, Bobby has a strong background in the Mauritian global business sector, including tax structuring and transfer pricing documentation. He is a frequent speaker at international tax conferences. Bobby started his career at the Mauritius Revenue Authority and then worked at two of the Big 4 firms before joining our team in 2018.
Audit Partner
Rajeev has over 16 years of experience in audit, risk assurance, and fund accounting. He has worked on major audit of private and listed domestic and international companies in various industries, including financial services, textile, and agribusiness. Rajeev is also our technical accounting leader for alternative fund services, hedge funds, and private equity firms. Furthermore, he is experienced in U.S. GAAP after having been team leader for this service at a Big 4 firm. Rajeev has also previously worked in accounting at an international German bank in its investment fund services. He won the ACCA World Gold Medal for topping the final exams in 2006.
Associate Director
Jairaj joined Baker Tilly in April 2020 to oversee and further develop our Advisory practice. He brings over 15 years of professional experience in audit and management consulting having previously worked at a national airline and KPMG in both France and Mauritius.
His combined engineering and business background helps him contribute extensively in the areas of business process improvement, internal audit, and forensics while working with team members from other firms in the network. Jairaj specializes in streamlining supply chain management in local and international companies operating in multiple sectors such as real estate, financial services, and mining.
Jairaj is passionate about helping others through sports. He regularly participates in charity runs and also helps manage a football team of under-privileged children in his hometown.
