The Assistant Associate (AA) is an entry-level professional who is expected to display a strong capacity of being a fast learner and ability to implement diligently the learnings and responsibilities required of an accountant during engagements.Â
The AA is expected to observe, understand, learn and apply the basic concepts of accounting to assigned engagements. This will require the AA to invest significant time to understand the dynamics of an accounting team and their responsibilities during an accounting engagement, while learning procedures from the accounting principles under International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).Â
The AA will be assigned and coached by a “Mentor” during the first year at Baker Tilly and will be trained to execute specific non-complex deliverables independently.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide essential administrative and clerical support to the accounting team to ensure smooth document flow and accurate data entry.
- Organize and file client source documents (bills, receipts, & bank statements).
- Scan & digitalize records and enter transactions into accounting software.
Assist with general office management duties.

- Above-average interpersonal skills with good verbal and written communication skills.
- Superior commitment to learn and master the various specialized software packages used in our firm.
- Strong A Level results.  Basic introductory level of knowledge on accounting procedures is an advantage.
