Biography

Jean-Yves is an Associate Director leading the Audit & Assurance division at Baker Tilly Mauritius. He brings over two decades of audit experience gained from prominent firms including PwC Mauritius, KPMG Mauritius, and EY Luxembourg. Prior to joining Baker Tilly, he also led a team in the Accounting and Client Services division at APEX Group in Luxembourg, with a focus on real assets and private equity.

Jean-Yves has deep expertise in asset management and alternative funds, particularly in auditing private equity, debt funds, and real estate. He is highly proficient in assessing complex Level 3 valuations, including real asset portfolios. Over the course of his career, he has developed audit specialization across various sectors such as investment property, hospitality, aviation, manufacturing, and textiles.

He also has extensive experience in auditing consolidated financial statements and listed entities, and is well-versed in IFRS, US GAAP, and Lux GAAP standards.

Jean-Yves is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA) and holds a BSc (Hons) in Accounting with Information Systems from the University of Mauritius. In 2021, he served on the ACCA Mauritius Network Panel and continues to support various non-profit organizations in Mauritius.
